We spent the long holiday hiking in the Laguna Mountains and the San Jacinto Mountains. It was very windy in the Laguna Mountains, but the wildflowers were beautiful. My hiking partner and I spent Christmas weekend in Idyllwild. Christmas Day was spent hiking towards Tahquitz Peak. And on Sunday we tried a new trail, the Black Mountain Trail. Yes, it is steep and strenuous in some sections, but well worth the views of San Gorgonio.
